Wishful Thinking

Members of Congress,

I am contraindicated in that beliefs I profess in my public and professional lives are opposite of an action I took in my private life. This… malady has come into focus for me since I have been engaged in the process of the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court of the United States. Before, during, and after the hearing in which Dr. Ford and Judge Kavanaugh testified as to Dr. Ford’s accusations of sexual assault some 36 years ago I found myself drawn uncontrollably to the unfounded conclusion that Judge Kavanaugh must be guilty and must be punished for his acts.

It has only been recently that I was able to discern that my unreasonable and unchangeable position as to the question of his guilt was my means of projecting my own guilt for my own act of sexual assault onto another in hopes that any punishment given or damage done to him would alleviate the guilt I feel for my own act. I realize now that my desire for him to receive punishment I am due is hurtful, irresponsible, unforgivable, and will do nothing to clear my memory of my transgression, nor give due process and justice to my victim.

My passing judgment on another at this time would be a miscarriage of justice. I realize that recanting my callous and misplaced statements as to Judge Kavanaugh’s character, and even supporting his confirmation is not enough to undo the damage I have caused him, his reputation, and his family.

I also recognize that the victim of my sexual assault has not received the due process and justice she deserves. Until my own act of assault has been investigated, I can no longer sit on a committee which is tasked with ascertaining the guilt or innocence of another.

Accordingly, I am resigning from this committee, am asking for an FBI investigation into my act of sexual assault, and will be resigning as Senator effective prior to the 2018 midterm elections.

The Crowned Jewel of the Anti-Gun Movement

“Assault Weapon”, the anti-gunner’s Crowned Jewel. An invented opaque term which includes all anti-gun claptrap, wrapped into an ever-changing description of a non-military semi-automatic firearm. Since an AR-15 operates in the same fashion as any other semi-automatic rifle, that is the shooter fires one round each time the trigger is pulled without manipulating a bolt, pump, or other mechanical device, all semi-automatic rifles would also necessarily be categorized as assault weapons. Likewise, all semi-automatic pistols could become categorized as assault weapons as they too operate in the same fashion.

Another major concern is what a firearm looks like. Most anti-gunners look at an AR-15 style weapon and see “scary things” attached to the firearm. However, when asked what those “things” are or what purpose they serve they cannot answer; they admit they do not know; yet because they look scary, they want them to be restricted. In essence, according to this lawmaker, anything attached to a firearm to make it safer to fire could be subject to restriction if interpretation to select what is “scary looking” and restrictable is left to the uninformed.

Rapid fire is another major concern. We have heard concerns over “rapid fire magazines”. Say what? There is no such thing as a rapid fire magazine. Only the shooter’s skill in firing a semi-automatic firearm can determine that shooters “accurate” rate of fire. There is no distinct number of rounds fired in a given amount of time established as the base line of what they would consider acceptable. In other words, if a competitive shooter can fire a pistol, rifle, or shotgun quickly, the assumption is “anyone can”, and those style firearms become targets for restriction. With this in mind, if a competitive shooter can fire 5 rounds from a single action revolver in less than 2 seconds hitting all 5 targets, is that rapid fire and an assault weapon? What about a competitive shooter firing 10 rounds from a lever action rifle in under 4 seconds hitting all targets, is that rapid fire and an assault weapon? A competitive shooter loading and firing 6 rounds thru a pump action shotgun in 6 seconds hitting all targets, is that rapid fire and an assault weapon? What if a competitive shooter could fire 10 rounds (5 rounds each from 2 single actions revolvers drawn from the holster), 10 rounds from a lever action rifle, and 4 rounds from a pump or top-break style shotgun at 12 different targets, hitting every shot, and all in under 20 seconds, are single action revolvers, lever action rifles, and pump/top break shotguns then “assault firearms”? What We Do Not Say or Do Says Everything

As far back as we can go, there has always been a disdain for people who witness criminal acts, and instead of trying to help the victim, we watch and say nothing; we watch and do nothing.

Cheap entertainment when women are raped… people watch… they say nothing… they do nothing.  People of all races, ages, and physical condition get assaulted… people say nothing… people do nothing.  The continuing “knock out” game being a prime example.  People watch as others are degraded, injured, maimed, killed: and when are asked to help the victims by reporting what they saw… it’s often the same story… “I know nothing”.  Cute when used in the sit-com Hogan’s Heroes where there were no real victims.  But when people take no action to help others being assaulted, there are very real, and often serious consequences for the victims, often life changing.

People often say “I don’t want to get involved.  The presumption being they don’t want to be inconvenienced by having to appear in court to testify; they don’t want to be bothered by having to take time off from work, they don’t want their daily routine to be altered in the least.

Assaults are different than cases of burning buildings, car accidents and the like in that with these types of incidents there are no perpetrators.  Observers run no risk of getting involved in court actions, police reports, ridicule from special interest groups, verbal attacks from race baiters, and so on.

Then I ask myself why is it that people will ignore assaults on our way of life; saying nothing, and doing nothing?  And so it goes as we watch the deterioration of our way of life: our customs, our laws, our eating habits, our various religious practices, our legal institutions, and-on-and-on.

We are being invaded by people of a different way of life; different customs, different laws, different eating habits, a very different religious outlook, a different legal institution, a different way of treating women, a different practice in accepting people of a different lifestyle, a drive to change the very fabric of our way of life.  All these changes being aggressively pushed on us; changes that will effect everything about how we live…and we say nothing… we do nothing.

We watch Islamic extremists butcher, rape, assault, kill, beat, dismember, perform honor killings, and so on.  We listen and watch as Muslims in OUR country and other western countries say nothing… and do nothing.

I wonder what the hell has happened in our land where the fear of offending people who come to this land to live with us… to live as we live has taken hold, leaving us unwilling to stand up and say “this is America, if you are not willing to embrace our way of life… go back where you came from”.  I wonder if it is just a bad dream; but I know it is much more.  It is an entire people unwilling to defend their homeland.

For what we do not say, and what we do not do says everything.

Toxic MSNBC

Why anyone listens to commentators on MSNBC is a mystery to me.  MSNBC is toxic… a player in a larger scheme; a scheme controlled by a few who employ tactics to achieve their personal goals of control, wealth and power.  Their employers have engaged us in a war… a war where the winner takes all; our freedoms the prize.  Theories about conducting warfare, tried and proven, have condensed into two “maxims of war”… know your enemy, and divide and concur.

What is there to know about people living in the united States of America?  We are no different than other countries populations; we have differences between the many peoples who live here, we have a self-interest in that we want ourselves, family, friends, and associates to be more successful and get those good paying jobs over other competitors; we want the same “breaks” given others; we don’t want our group of people attacked or slandered by non-members.  And the list goes on.

As for divide and concur; the smaller a group, the easier it is to control… to influence.  The more divisions you can put between groups of people and between people within given groups, the larger the number of groups, the smaller a group’s membership, and the more control which can be exercised over them… the way they see things, the way they think, the way the act; all this by controlling the “information” they are exposed to .  What types of “tools” could be used to divide a population into large groups… religion, gender, race, ethnicity, language, dress, citizenship status just to name a few.  What if we further divide those groups by one’s likes or interests, political views, income level, sexual orientation, again just to name a few.  What say we divide those smaller groups by the way the dress, the way they act, adornments they wear, the neighborhood they live in.

Maybe if one religion was subjected to regulations which required members to violate their belief system, and another religion’s membership was encouraged to exercise their belief system unencumbered; better understanding and acceptance between the groups hindered..  What would happen if one group of people were encouraged to broadcast hate speech against other groups, but the groups being targeted were not allowed to respond in kind?  Perhaps a member of one group was allowed to commit felonies without fear of punishment, while members of other groups were under constant surveillance for the slightest violation of law?  One group of people might be given benefits for free which would put them on an equal or higher standard of living than those who were being taxed to pay for the freebies.  Perhaps two people would commit identical crimes, the media showering one perpetrator with sympathy while the other is crucified.

There are a thousand ways to divide people.  And so, there are a thousand ways to guide people, to urge people to think and act a certain way…  Give only one side of a story.  Don’t report a story.  Harp on a story.  Allow inflammatory language and innuendo.  Employ character assassination.  Incite by using hate speech.  Key on differences between people rather than things they have in common.

MSNBC commentators specialize in the use of these tactics; often saying things to create anger, dislike and distrust between groups.  Why does MSNBC use these misinformation tactics?  They are paid to.  It is a game… a slight of hand as old as time itself, yet, it remains as effective as the very first time it was employed.  They know that simple words, no matter how utterly untrue or bizarre can be used to anger, incite, calm, inform, or misinform the masses.  Commentators use these tactics to manipulate how people think, what they think, how they perceive things.  Create a commotion… everyone looks… no one sees what happened on the side.  People’s attention is drawn away from real life changing events which are hidden from public consumption; swallowed whole by the information machine.

We have been studied, dissected, placed into our assigned groups, indoctrinated, manipulated, and most have no idea why they think the things they do, or why they think them.  We are unwitting accomplices in our own downfall; many having not a single grain of understanding as to what is being done to us as a country… as a people.

As for MSNBC, I wouldn’t waste a single second of my valuable time allowing them to attempt to change who or what I am.

Hot Air Always Evaporates

Hey Huffington Post… you have lost ALL credibility with free thinkers, although the indoctrinated are probably still enamored with your politically correct poison.  Example… you cannot pick and choose.  If God trusts women to choose abortion, doesn’t He also trust people to own firearms?  One choice takes life away every time it is exercised; the other rarely causes death or injury each and every time a round of ammunition is fired.  The number of times an injury or death results from a round of ammunition being fired is so small; I don’t think it can even be computed.  Yet you are squarely on the side of an abortion which is 100 percent lethal.  You are not about reducing injury or death… you are about making Our Constitution irrelevant.  You are about looking for payback for supporting progressives; about slithering your way into the favor of the “elite” if the country goes down.  Your refusal to acknowledge your true goals talks of where your loyalties lay very loudly!

In your anti-gun tirade, you taint then present only one side of the issue.  If you had done any research at all, you would have discovered that more lives are saved by armed citizens than are taken by criminals.  You would have discovered that in small towns that require gun ownership for homeowners, crimes have fallen, however, have risen in surrounding areas.  You would have discovered that the armed citizens who use their firearms to stop criminal acts in progress often stop multiple criminals at a time.  You would have discovered that the people who get concealed carry permits pass a course of instruction which includes firearms safety and handling, as well as law.  You would have discovered that the term “assault weapon” is actually a fully automatic machine gun which requires an extensive background check and a special license to own one.  You would have discovered that the term “assault weapon” is being used by the anti-gun crowd to misinform and confuse the general public.  You would have discovered that the only difference between a standard semi-automatic rifle used by tens of millions of people to target shoot, participate in competitive shooting sports, or hunt is the stock… as the internal parts operate the same way.  No need to continue as I’m sure you get the picture.  But then, you already know all this.  Your business is not news, as you do not report it.  Your business is to lie.

Your one-sidedness; your complete disregard for facts; your desire to force your ideals on an entire population, your disregard for the wants and desires of so many only serves to show how low you have sunk in your pursuit of acknowledgment.  Your Achilles Heel… fact always comes out in the end.  Your days of deceit and dis-service are numbered.  Your dictatorial ways are offensive.  They cause me to reflect on the many pleasant discussions I have had with my pet rocks.  They are polite.  They do not spew others agendas expecting power, wealth, and favoritism for misdeeds.  When I have something to say they listen, without interrupting until I have finished.  Then, if they disagree with anything I have said, they remain quiet as they think about what I have said, and only reply if their argument is well thought out, rational, and fact filled.  You would do well to be like a rock.

Not Enough Drugs or Alcohol

Obama from his talk about Russia invading Ukraine:  “People to have the right to make decisions about their own futures”.  What kind of gobbledygook is this?  Obama, you strangle “We the People” with dictates that defy the very wishes of the People; dictates that take away choice; dictates that take freedoms from “We the people” and replace them with chains; dictates that violate the very document you took an oath to uphold… the Constitution.

I am fairly certain that you are confused as to what the actual boundaries of the United States are.  You are doing more to assist “special” groups which lay OUTSIDE the borders of our country, and are doing things to stifle the people who live inside the boundaries of the United States.  To help you comprehend the actual layout of boundaries which define the United States, our country actually lies south of the Canadian border, north of the Mexican border, west of the Atlantic Ocean, east of the Pacific Ocean, Alaska and Hawaii are also states, and we have territories also.  Your job is to assist those of us who live within the pre-described boundaries, and not to give precedence to those who do not make up “We the People”.

Mr. (p)resident… Words are meaningless… actions tell all.  It appears you are for choice and freedom in other countries, but prefer to act as “dictator supreme” when it comes to “We the people”.  Your choice of special groups to support is, to say the least, extremely distressing; money and arms to Islamic terrorist groups… you know, the ones who cut off people’s heads, rape women, blow people up, cannibalize people, attack Christians, strangle women, and only God knows what else.  You play in the sand with a red marker giving Putin the lead in Syria.  At the same time, you dishonor wounded veterans, military killed in action, military missing in action, and their families and friends by undoing every accomplishment made by these men and women, while empowering the very people these people were asked to defeat.  Then your care of veterans is so poor, organizations like “Wounded Warrior” must be created to provide vets and their families the care they have earned… the hard way.

Just as there is probably not enough money in all currencies throughout the planet to pay our disclosed and undisclosed obligations and interest charges, there is not enough alcohol or drugs on the planet that could help me figure out how your actions do anything but dishonor, embarrass, degrade, harm, dissuade, dishearten, weaken, and demoralize Americans.

Every day I expect Rod Serling to jump out of a hiding place to tell me it’s all just a make-believe show born of someone’s bad dream.

OPAC Concludes There is a “Moment”

CPAC declares there is a moment for Conservatives to win elections… to be given the opportunity to make change for the better.

There is only a “moment” if those on the right will listen to their constituents, and ignore their own personal political ambitions.  It is country or self… choose wisely.  If you want to win seats in November and the presidency in 2016, the GOP and Tea Party MUST join forces.  You MUST find the common ground in your parties and embrace that.  Stop mudslinging each other and acknowledge the good points your conservative associates bring to the table.  This will show voters that there are multiple candidates who share their views, and that each candidate is willing to negotiate or be flexible to a degree.

Strategists make up a handful of votes… the People make up millions… listen to the People.  You have to decide if you are running for personal gain or to fix the country.  If you are running for personal gain… have the courage and love of country to drop out and let someone else lead the charge.  Some of you folks who have been in politics for decades… it is time to let go of the power trip addiction as it is inevitable… we all die.  Choose self or country and be remembered for that choice.

Define your platform’s differences from the democrats/liberals/progressives platform and quit trying to please everyone… to please everyone is a fantasy.  If you put 10 people in a room you couldn’t please them all.

We are down to the wire.  We either reverse the damage and start the road back to recovery and greatness, or we sink further into the quagmire.  Sacrifice your personal desires and cooperate with each other, or sacrifice the “moment” and kill the country.

If THEY Had a Choice

We require driver education students to watch films of the aftermath of crashes and the injuries inflicted upon their victims. Why… so they can SEE the possible consequences of their actions.  We see pictures of the results of people using illegal drugs such as “meth” and “krokodil” as their bodies are consumed, we watch people being beaten, shot, beheaded, and beaten to death with rocks and cinder blocks.  Every manner of inhuman acts are presented to us in Technicolor to excite us, to beg us to go that one step further.

Can it be that we as a species have passed the pinnacle of humanness and have reverted to our ancestral ways… a point where the actions of humans cannot be differentiated from those of animals?  But that is an incorrect assessment… animals slaughter one another because of need, where many humans slaughter the unprotected as a matter of convenience.

Am I simple-minded in believing that showing women who are intent on having an abortion for “convenience” sake only a video of the abortion procedure, that many of those women would have a change of heart?  I would hope there would be a lot fewer abortions if both women and men were required to watch the consequences of an abortion before making that final decision to proceed.

Why do we show death and destruction of those who can fend for themselves, but refuse to show death and destruction of those most vulnerable?
